We are delighted to start the new year by announcing that\u00a0Saint Nicholas is now\u00a0<\/strong>Green Key label<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>!<\/h2>\n\n

We are delighted to start the new year by announcing that\u00a0Saint Nicholas is now\u00a0<\/strong>Green Key label<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>! This is the first international ecolabel dedicated to sustainable tourism, and rewards tourist accommodation and restaurants that make a concrete commitment to the environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

A 4-star hotel in La Rochelle committed to more sustainable tourism<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Being a\u00a0Green Key hotel in La Rochelle<\/strong>\u00a0is the culmination of a long-standing process. This label recognises\u00a0all the actions put in place<\/a>\u00a0to minimise our impact and that of our passengers.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

As part of our CSR policy, we have put in place a more responsible purchasing policy, with a selection of local producers in short circuits, widespread selective sorting and a partnership with\u00a0Alter Ga\u00efa<\/a>\u00a0for the collection and recovery of our bio-waste, the use of Ecolabel-certified cleaning products, the roll-out of thermal insulation programmes, and the installation of air conditioning control systems to control energy consumption.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Our commitment also extends to partnerships with local, national and international players. Beehives have been installed on the roof of the hotel with the association\u00a0The Wings of Life<\/a>,nesting boxes welcome local fauna thanks to\u00a0Nat'H Nature Harmonie<\/a>,and we contribute financially to ocean conservation programmes (Echo-Mer<\/a>,\u00a0SurfRider Europe<\/a>,\u00a0The Great Collection<\/a>In 2025, we also helped finance an orchard in Long\u00e8ves, as part of the Carbon Cooperative, enabling us to sequester 30 tonnes of CO2 equivalent over 30 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Finally, we actively encourage our employees to use bicycles and public transport for their business trips, in order to unite the whole team around a shared commitment to preserving our planet.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n
